Can lifting weights cause blood clots?
-
if you lift weights excessively can the muscles compress the blood stream and cause a clot? and also what are some bad effects of lighting weights at a young age 14 years old and younger?
-
Answer:
No, weight lifting does not cause blood clots. In moderation, it can be healthy. What you don't want to do is max out every time; you want to learn the right technique so you don't hurt your joints. If you can, learn from a trainer (not just some guys at the gym!)
