Why do my knees hurt? and why are they weak.?

I ver weight.I am a diabetic. I take insulin 3 xs a day. I am overweight. Hoever, I am more of overweight with water. My knees hurt when I walk a short distance and my knees feel weak. This has just been happening recently. What is happening to my knees? Also my legs swell up with fluid.

If you have just recently been swelling up then your kidneys could possibly not be working properly I always think the worst but with swelling the kidneys are one of the first things they'll look at
