Horrible jaw pain without a cause.

Cause of my Jaw pain? More info here?

  • The past few years I have been able to "pop" and somewhat dislocate my jaw with no pain at all. The past 3 days i have had jaw pain coming and going whenever i yawn or eat, it is up close to my ear. I have also had swimmers ear in the ear on the same side if that has anything to do with it. If anyone has any clue what this could be or what can be done? The only jaw related thing i have heard of is TMJ but do not know all that much about it,

  • Answer:

It sounds like TMJ. They are joints where your jaw attaches to your head. Place your fingers in front of your ears and slowly open/close your mouth and you will feel them move. They should move the same and together. Google TMJ. Also plan to see a dentist who is familiar with TMJ.
