Emergency Room doctor in Japan?

Should I take my dad to the Emergency Room for wait until his doctor's appointment on Tuesday?

  • My dad said he had a hard time breathing this morning while he was sleeping. He kept calling my mom saying he couldn't breathe and then when my mom went over to him, helped him sit up, he was about to breathe. He is fine right now, but he said he had a dream about his mother who passed away calling him. He said he has pains in his eyes. He takes medicine for high cholesterol and high blood pressure. I made an appointment with his doctor but he has to wait until Tuesday. We have no insurance and cannot afford it right now. Should I still take my dad to the emergency room or wait until his appointment on tuesday??

    First pray about it....see what God says, then I would advise you to take him to the ER, yes...they have financial aid and stuff there...you just gotta fill out abunch of papers and have all the information.

If Dad is not complaining of chest pain, you might be able to wait until Tuesday. At any rate, call his doctor and report this and he will tell you what he thinks you should do. Also relate about the insurance problem. In the meantime, monitor your Dad. When he sleeps, he should be on a couple of pillows to help him breathe better at night. A humidifier might help too. Sounds like he might have had a panic attack from the dream and "pains" in his eyes. I really can't say. Please just call his doc first....don't let them tell you he's not available! Tell the answering service to page him then tell him what's up or let him talk to your Mom or Dad. Hope all will be well, Godloveya.
