Why does my neck hurt?

Why does the front of my neck hurt?

• I woke up this morning and the front of my neck hurt so bad! And I don't know what it is and I had a friend sleep over and I thought well maybe she hit me in the neck when we were asleep but I know she didn't because if she would have caused this pain she would have had to hit me really hard and I would have woke up. And now I don't know what to do. And I slept like I normally do to so it's not that. Should I tell my mom? Any suggestions on what it could be? Thank you

  i would ask your friend if she hit you in the neck and with what object because itsounds to me like you were hit really hard possibly had a bowling ball fall on your neck! it happened to me once when i used to have those wild slumber parties in my day. let me know how you feel!!
