Could this be Carpal tunel syndrome?

Is it possible that i may have carpal tunnel syndrome?

  • I have looked up possible symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome and i only have one sypotm, tingling in my thumb and first three fingers, but the tingling is in my left hand wich i rarely use scince i am right handed.the tingling dosent happen often only sometime when i push myself up off of my bed. tho i am worried because my mother had carpal tunnel in both of her wrists and had to have surgery for it.i have read that past injuries makes it more likely to have carpal tunnel, and i have had two injuries on my left hand i sprained my wrist from falling off the trampoline and accidentaly stabbed my index finger with a knife.do you think i may have carpal tunnel or the tingling may have something to do with the knife wound?if you think i have carpal tunnel is there any possible way to reverse it?please let me know.

  • Answer:

Simple test you can do. Place both your hands flat on a flat surface. Bring them away from the table and make both of your wrists go into a 90 degree angle, or as far as you can go if you can't go the whole 90 degrees. For a better explanation of how to do this, pretend you are telling someone to stop or get away from you. Do you have any pain or tingling while doing this? If you do then cha ching, you probably have carpel tunnel. This is the test they use at the doctor's office as well as taking a history.
