Upper back pain - gym?

I have slip disc for past 2 yrz or so but stil i do gym,cardio exercisez isdat right? bt i leave gym pain inc?

  • my doctor told me 2 leave d bt m addicted 2 gym if i leave my body becomes more stif ...cant help it ...i left have gym for 3-4 monthz bt during that tym my body was more in pain den earlier . i hv tried it all special ortho doctors nd desi treatmentz also bt no improvement as such .. now m thking abt taking yoga classez .. so ny1 can help me wth dat .. also tel wat sd i do 2 get rid of this backache .. thkz ..

i have spinal fractures and slipped discs. For a very long time i couldnt do anything and just going to the bathroom was hard. i started doing relaxation classes at first and built up to gentle yoga and regular swimming. i now swim regularly still, do gentle yoga, walk daily and cycle when i feel strong. i also horse ride and fell walk on good days. unfortunatly you always have reoccuring backache but if you can build your back muscles up the pain will ease. its been 3 1/2 years since i injured mine and i have just started working i a local hospital and am feeling the benefits from having built my muscles up gently

You need to see a Chiropractor. Exercise is great but it just can't relieve the deep tension between bones and vertabrae!!! I work in a sports club and am amazed just how stiff a lot of people who do lots of sports are. See a good HMO insurance list Chiropractor - they will help! It will take 8-12 times, but then you will be way looser, have less pain, and be able to train without hurting yourself!
