What are the symptoms of ms?

Can someone please help me? do I have MS symptoms? I am in so much pain w/ symptoms.?

  • 45 female, pain in legs for few years on and off, severe now, mainly from knees down to ankles and pain in arms from elbows to wrists. Was better when I was on cymbalta. Worse when I went off it in November ( but can't pay for them) So bad that I can't pick up anything, can't hold cell phone, or purse, or bags. Fed up, in so much pain. Could barley walk to my bed today and severe pain in legs after bowel movements. Last year lost vision in right eye. Get attacks where right eye is completely black, or spots really quick w/ pain in the eye. Few years ago walking w/ a friend, had to drag my left leg. That was weird. Tired all the time! Went to hospital today. Drew blood, all is good. They wouldn't do anything else for me but put me on 300mg Neurontin @ bed time. My arms are killing me today. Even hurts to type laying my arms on my desk. When I sit at work my legs are hard & feet swell. Should I go see my family dr. 1st or an eye doctor first? My friend has MS & she said they detected MS right away w/ a series of eye tests. I don't have any insurance. How can I get tests done or see a neurologist? Only working 2 days now. Can barley handle that. Please help. Thank you all and feel for you MS patients.

  • Answer:

First thing to try, stop all diet sodas and sugar substitutes. I know its strange but between 2-3% of women are actually allergic to the artificial sweeteners and the symptoms are like MS. Call your county health dept and explain your problems. They can help you find a low cost clinic. Find out from your friend what eye Dr tested her for Ms. Call and ask how much just the MS screening would cost, and ask if they have a sliding scale. Good Luck

This all doesn't sound like MS. You need a make up from a doctor like X-Rays or MRI's that would show MS and how bad, you can't go by one test then you can get some type of control drug. See a good neurologist or your primary who can help you find a neurologist.

its sounds like MS but it also could be other things as well and i suggest you head to the doctor and fun tests and find out. its very hard to find what is is with no blood works and stuff.
