What can I do about dark rough knees?

My knees hurt, what can I do?

  • I joined track a few weeks ago and am a jumper/sprinter. I was really fast and then I started doing the long jump and the next couple days my knees started to hurt but I kept running and then they started to hurt so bad that now all I can do is barely jog. The last time I ran was 3 days ago and my knees don't hurt when I walk, only when I try to run or kneel down or get up from sitting on the floor. It's mostly my left knee although both hurt and my ankles hurt a little too. How can I fix them so that I can run by Monday?

  • Answer:

actually, most pain experienced by athletes is not as a result of injury, but of muscular or skeletal development. So the pain in your knee is just as a result of your hardwork. In an athlete's case, they are recomended not to participate in any sporting activities till the development is complete. So you just have to wait for the pain to stop till you run again, or else you're just overstressing your knee. Btw, ave experienced such pain and it only lasts for few days.
