My throat is hurting me a lot?

Throat hurts after yelling a lot?

  • so i went to a CU vs Utah basketball game in colorado, CU being the home team, and me being a resident of colorado but a utah fan, i yelled and cheered a LOT at the game. my throat started hurting really bad during the last 10 minutes of the game, but i kept cheering on utah. by overtime, it hurt worse, but kept yelling and cheering. now it's been 6 hours since the game, and my throat is killing me. once when i was screaming "YEAH!!!" for utah my voice cracked and started hurting. my throat feels all scratchy, and i cough, which hurts waaay more. or clear my throat. it's just killing me. i am a girl, and a singer, but is it possible my vocal cords are bleeding or broken? in the car after the game it kept feeling like something was running down my throat.

  • Answer:

Just over used your voice box, if it doesn't get better in a few days I would get yourself to a doctor especially considering that you're a singer. I recommend peppermint tea and Motrin!

Bro, please! If you were cheering that much, it's normal for your throat to hurt like heck afterwards. So don't worry about it. To promote healing, limit your speaking and drink a lot of water until you can speak again.

Oh everything might happen & its not so good if u yelled too much eventhough u knew your throat hurts. maybe it bleeds, or maybe it's just ur mucus running down (U know, mucus can also come down through ur throat) try to check to the doctor!!
