Does Vicodin help nerve pain?

• I just went to the Dr for possible nerve pain. The Dr didn't know what it was but gave me some Vicodin to get through the night. She thought it might be an old injury from a heavy lifting job I used to have. She thought it might be deep muscle pain, but it feels to me more like nerve pain. Anyway, I just wanted to know if Vicodin helps nerve pain or not, because if it doesn't do nerve pain it would prove to me that this pain is muscle. So any feedback would be helpful.. thank you.

  You say that you used to have a heavy lifting job so you must be talking about back pains. If so then what you have is pinched muscles in your back. I haven't seen much of anything that does much for pinched muscles, they just hurt way to darn much. The only way I know of to get rid of the pain is to release the pinched muscles themselves and the pain is usually gone. To release those muscles you have to release the muscles in your back and here's how to do that: Back: (do from a sitting position) Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side. For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.
