How to relief arthritis pain?

  • So my grama has arthritis and i feel horrible because she's always in pain! How can i help her?!?! any home remedies??? or pain relieve creams or pain killer? pls help me i cant take it anymore it hurts to see her like this

  • Answer:

if she hasn't tried aleve, try that. tiger balm may also help. you can find it at any pharmacy, but i'll warn you, it has a very strong menthol smell. i pretty much swear by tiger balm, my coach introduced it to me a couple years ago and i used it son my shin splints and have recently used it on my torn meniscus, and it has knocked the edge of the pain off. hope this helps.

Well, almost all of the things like copper bracelets or magnets are actually scams, which if people do claim they work is only because they sell them or the placebo effect. However, by proper diet, which includes essential nutrients, such as calcium and vitamin D, as well as regular low impact exercise, the effects of arthritis can often be reduced. I would check with her doctor first to get a better idea of what types of foods and exercises are safe for her, but even just a little bit of walking each week can help with arthritis pain. Water sports, such as water aerobics, are also very popular, but make sure to avoid high impact sports, which includes things like running(Yeah I know, grandma is probably not going to be doing this, but it is important to mention.) One of the other things you can do for your grandmother is try to make her everyday life easier, which will in turn help reduce her arthritis pain. Start by making a list of the things she does each day and then find out what causes her to experience pain or when it starts during the day. Next, try to brainstorm ways of making these tasks easier. This is called learning to live with arthritis and can be very effective at reducing arthritis pain. An example of living with arthritis is to use kitchen utensils, pens, and keys that have larger handles, making them easier to grasp. It is also a good idea to use bags that have wheels on them, rather than carrying a heavy purse or trying to lug around a laundry basket.
