Sharp shooting pains in stomach - what is it?

• lately i've been having sharp shooting pains all over my stomach. It feels like stabbing needles or something. it started on my right side, now my left and upper stomach. the other day my belly button started hurting, and all around it - but that went away. the shooting pains sometimes go up to the middle of my chest, it freaks me out. i have been under a lot of stress lately, had aches and pains all over my body like my neck, back, and even legs. i have been prescribed Xanax and Zoloft for my anxiety, it has cleared my head but now my body is killing me. when i was really anxious i burped till no end and was extremely gassy. i also recently thought i had a blood clot due to birth control pills but i had an ultra sound in my legs and they found nothing. what can these pains be? they're so annoying if anything, i feel good except these stomach pains. could it be due to stress?? oh a couple weeks ago i had a blood test done, no appendicitis and my other organs were normal. ugh why can't i be pain free again "/

  Hummm perhaps go back to ur doctor for further tests, you cud have IBS (irritable bowl syndrome) which cud be brought on by yes stress. Its a condition where your intestines spasm and can cause mild to severe pain. If its stabbing pain that just ur bowels contracting. Its not really treatable but the pain can be dealt with using anti spasm tablets. Try putting something warm on ur belly and relaxing it may help. I know its hard to relax but it does help as it eases the tension
