Why do I have a pain in my lower right side?

Bad pelvic pain on right side going down to my hip and radiating to my lower right side of my back?

  • I have been diagnosed with ovarian cyst and fibriods. I'm basically living with the pain until the 15th which is about 17 days away. I've tried all kinds of medicine like tylenol, tramadol, naproxen and normal stuff like that. Nothing helps with the pain. Anyways today I woke up with a horrible pain in my right lower pelvis area and its radiating on my hip, down my right leg and on the lower side of my back. Its hurting horribly. I took tylenol but it hasnt helped and that was about 2 hours ago I took it. Should I go to the ER? I hate going but I cant go on the whole day till the 15th with this pain its just gotten worse today.

  • Answer:

It's very likely that the cyst has ruptured. This would cause sudden pain and the only way to tell is with an ultrasound. You need to see the ER or urgent care.
