Does Dr. Malone of Advanced Pain Management in Austin, TX drug test?

• I am going to see Dr. Malone soon for my chronic back pain. I have gone to many doctors, and was eventually recommended to see Dr. Malone at Advanced Pain Management in Austin, TX. I have heard excellent reviews about him and his practice, but I am curious to know if they do mandatory drug testing. I'm pretty sure I have some marijuana in my system as well as prescription pain killers, but this is because the pain in so unbearable and these things help take the edge off. I am not a regular drug user at all, and I am actually against doing drugs in the first place. I was just extremely desperate to ease my pain. If I have to take a drug test, I'm afraid they will see these drugs in my system and label me as a drug addict trying to get medicine from him, but really all I want is to help my pain. If I do have to comply to a drug test, will he automatically not prescribe any medications to me based on the test? I really don't want him to write me off based on this because I am in a tremedous amout of pain and I genuinely need help. Please respond, I am desperate!

  Most prescription drugs (pain meds) will be out of your system in 48 hrs. Weed is a different story, it stays in your body as a metabolife for up to 30 days, So if you are worried and know this is the Dr you want to see, you should probably schedule the appt 30 days after you last smoked weed. And drink plenty of water everyday because the THC is sticky and likes to hang around but the water Will help flush it out. Then hopefully he can fix you up so you don;t need the weed anymore.
