How bad is arthritis pain?

Arthritis pain, how to manage it?

  • I am a sufferer of Rheumatoid Arthritis, it is causing me huge amounts of pain daily. I cant use any Aspirin based medicines due to allergies, so no Aspririn no Ibuprofen no Nurofen. I use to use Codeine Phosphate 240mg per day, but they have become less affective now. I have used Dihydrocodeine in the form of Co-Dydramol but this never helped in the slightest. Im now on a short sharpe dose of Ultram/ Zydol (Tramadol Hydrochloride) as my Dr says. However, taking this with 4g of paracetamol (tylenol) per day does not touch my pain in the slightest. I am an in the UK and would like to know what other pain relief can they give me, my Dr mentioned Oxycontin and I know they give Morphine in cases too, but is there anything else I can take? BTW Vicodin is not avaliable in the UK to Americans.

  • Answer:

Oxycontin's are REALLY addictive... go see a pain specialist, ask your doctor to refer you.
