What are vascular and tension" headaches?

What are some good medications for migraine pain and tension headaches?

  • I suffer from very frequent tension headaches and weekly migraines, especially in cold weather and when i have not been very active. I have been taking tylenol for years now, but it's really not working that well anymore. I do not have any major problems other than those. I have had an mri - normal. I was wanting to know if there is anything else I can take that will not raise your blood pressure, I know alot of pain meds can do that. I don't want that. I'm also very weary of tyelnol because of it's association with liver failure - kinda scary. Is there anything that I can ask my doc for or buy OTC that ISN"T dangerous? Thanks so much!

    u should stop taking tylenol. because those are not a prescription medication and they aren't really suppose to be taken on a daily basis. unless you are taking the low dose that is said to be safe for daily use and if you're taking the low dose and they are not helping anymore then you are putting yourself at risk for liver failure for no reason. if i were you i would either go get it checked out by your doctor because migraines aren't healthy are usually are not good signs. i worked with this lady and she told me about how her 20 year old daughter who was also a mother of a 2 year old started getting really bad head aches then it got worse to migraines. it was caused by aneurysms that burst and she died instantly. the old lady moved in with her daughters husband and the 2 year old and i don't talk to her anymore. but i think you should definitely get that checked out

First of all, drink lots and lots of water. Seriously, I know people annoy you and tell you to. It totally helps though. There aren't many things you can do, you need to see a doctor.

Tylenol is very very bad esp taking on regular basis its bad for your liver and kidneys! There is a natural herb for migraines it prevents them too. It honestly does work. FEVERFEW by NS is excellent But you have to get a high quality herb or it wont work because alot of them are synthetic.
