I have severe Neck Pain & It's a Pitch Nerve?

Help! My mother has severe pain in her arms and neck! Not sure what to do or what it could be.?

  • My mother has been having severe pain located in her arms and neck. The pain is more profound in her arms. We believe it may be some sort of nerve damage from a really bad car accident she had when she was fourteen. She began getting this pain three years ago and the doctor suggested that it may be lime disease so he treated her for that for a few months. The pain continued and the doctor couldn't find anything else wrong with her even though she was still going through this terrible pain. Fast forward to today and now she can hardly stand the pain and it's practically keeping her from doing anything, she cries so much because the pain is so severe. She describes her pain as if fire ants were crawling up her arms or that her arms were about to explode, and whats weird is that it only occurs sometimes. Today she told me she was laying in her bed with no pain at all but suddenly she began to feel a bit of pain in her pinky fingers and then the pain immediately ballooned into her arms in less than a second. I've looked all over the internet to try to find what it may be but I can't find anything relating to her symptoms. We tried calling a neurologist but they sent back a letter regarding that they will call her within the next six months so they can schedule an appointment with her. What do you think this is and what do you think we should do? Please, I'm desperate to help her figure this out. I'm open to any ideas to what you may think this is.
