How to get rid of knee pain?

Anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of knee pain?

  • I have noticed as I am getting older that my knees hurt when I bend them to lift something up or even exercising. I have 2 braces with metal supports in them that i wear when I work out because if I am doing squats with any type of weight on my back, I can not get back up without them. My knees will pretty much not let me back up. Is there anything I can do to get rid of the pain?

  • Answer:

Not bend them to lift something or exercising should do it

Knee pain is usually caused by the muscle for your kneecap tightening up pulling the kneecap up on and into the knee making it hard and painful to bend your knee. You should be able to get rid of the pain by releasing the muscle. Here's how to release it: Kneecaps: Do while sitting on a chair with no front cross braces between the legs. While sitting have your leg resting in a stretched position. Place both your thumbs, side by side, about 2 inches behind the kneecap and press down into your leg hard and then redirect the pressure a little towards the kneecap. After 30 seconds, slowly slide your foot back and under your chair as far as it will go, release the pressure but hold your foot there for another 30 seconds The important part of this release is the pressure on the leg, if there isn't enough this won't take. If you have that happen repeat the release once more right away.
