My throat hurts and it feels hot?

It hurts to swallow and it feels like something's in my throat?

  • Yesterday while I was trying to get to sleep, it felt like there was a really big rock in my throat. It didn't hurt, it was just difficult to swallow. When I woke up it was still there, except now it hurts. I've gargled salt and water, and I'm sucking on lozenges so that it's easier to swallow, but it still hurts. Should I see a doctor? Or should I just keep sucking on lozenges? Other than my throat, I'm fine.

  • Answer:

You might have strep throat. Whenever my throat REALLY hurts, I have strep throat. If the lozenges don't work by tomorrow, you should go to a doctor. They will just take a swab and in 2 days the complete results will come and you will find out if you have strep throat or not. There is also a 15 minute test, where the results come in 15 minutes, but they aren't as accurate.

Hmm, you should really see a doctor about this even if you think that this is a simple cold. You never know what could it be, but I really hope its nothing serious, get well! :)
