What to do with a high stomach ache?

What could cause my 2 month long stomach ache?

  • I've had a stomach ache for almost two months by now. I'm fourteen. I usually went to the bathroom once every two weeks, for poop. Now I'm trying every day since I had horrible diaherria about a month ago. My stomach pains haven't gone away yet, and it affects my mood. In the mornings, I get terrible aches until about 9 AM, second period, and they begin to slowly fade away throughout the day. Could it be not going to the bathroom a lot? I try everyday and only go a little bit. Should I see a doctor? Could it be the foods I've been eating? When I used to go once every two weeks my stomach was fine.

  • Answer:

Is there any blood in your poop? If not you likely have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), lactose intolerance, or gluten (wheat) allergy. If you have blood in your poop you may have ulcerative colitis or Crohn's. You should try not eating lactose containing products and/or wheat containing products and see what happens. If you get better, add one back into your diet and see what happens, and go from there. If you see blood or continue having problems you should see your doctor.
