Braces causing upper jaw pain?
-
I have been wearing braces for a while now (about 6 month) I started wearing rubberbands on the left side 3 month ago. Last month they installed a chain on my upper teeth to start closing spaces. This morning I began to notice jaw pain whenever I swallow. Their is a little discomfort all the time, but it only has a flash of pain when I swallow. It occurs inbetween the upper and lower jaw on the left side. Are my braces causing my jaw pain, or is it something else? How do I get rid of the pain?

Answer:
It could be the braces. Also google trigeminal neuralgia, see if that fits what you're feeling.
