Sharp pain when drinking Coffee?

Sharp pain in side of stomach?

  • for the past few months i have been having a weird sharp pain on the left side of my stomach kind of behind my rib cage..it literally feels like someones stabbing me or something. people have told me it might be an ulcer, i am 21 years old and have been drinking for a while which i know it not good. but lately i havent been too much maybe once every 2 weeks or so. i have history of vomiting blood when drinking too much..the pain gets worse maybe 2 weeks out of the month..if i drink a coffee or something like an energy drink its like torture. like i had a few jack and cokes on satuday, sunday i was ok. monday and today its terrible pain. im really concerned of what it can be, like i said people said it may be an ulcer and it makes sense that it gets bad when i drink or consume anything acidic. im hoping maybe someone can know more about this and can help me feedback on here will be much appreciated or please email me [email protected] if you have any questions to knowing more what it can be. thank you very much.

  • Answer:

It sounds like your kidneys to me. Caffeine, spicy food, or anything acidic can irritate them if there is an infection. It will make your side hurt generally only on one side of the body. Left or right, but never both. If you notice that you are urinating too often and/or it hurts when you do its a kidney infection probably brought on by drinking alcohol and not enough water after. On another note, if you vomit blood i cant believe you would continue drinking alcohol. Its obviously causing your body a great deal of stress and pain. A quick fix? Stop drinking.
