How do I stop my knee shaking?

Knee pains. do i have to stop running? is this severe or can i just keep on ignoring it?

  • I've been having knee pains on and off for a year now. I'm a cross country and track runner and i just took 3 weeks off of running. today i noticed how my left knee (it hurts more) looked defformed in a way. when i bend my knee a certain way my knee cap looks like it's sticking out way more than it does in my other knee when it's bent the same way. there is also and indent after the knee cap that goes in then out again. sorry im having a hard time describing this but if you know what i mean pease give me some valuable information about the topic.

One thing a lot of runners have trouble with is the kneecap and the tendon that attaches it. That tendon can become shortened, a rather normal occurrence for tendons, and then it starts to pull into the knee rather than gliding over it. That is where most of your pain is going to come from. Here is how to release that tendon: Kneecap: (Use a chair that has no cross members on it.) While sitting start with your leg out in front of you extended out to a comfortable length. Wrap your hands around it so you leave a open working area. Place your thumbs about two inches behind your knee and press into the top middle of your leg hard and hold. Relax. After 30 seconds, slowly slide that leg back until it is pulled up under the chair as far as you can make it go. Then release the pressure but hold your leg there for one minute longer.

OK i am a person that I think has the same thing that you are describing. You especially see it when I am sitting down. I hate to tell you this but you need to get in to see a knee doctor sooner rather than later. You may have to give up running but you may not. Sure you can ignore it but it will probably get worse and worse and worse, and then you might end up like me 6 surgeries on the right knee and so far 1 on the left getting ready for number 2 on that knee.
