How do you deal with the back pain caused from an epidural?

Huge man tackled me in hospital caused me extreme back pain. How can I get him in trouble? What about my back?

  • I was in the hospital and I came up to a nurse around 10 pm. I was calm and asked for help. She seemed threatened. Maybe it had to do with my size. I'm a big guy. All of a sudden security comes out and tackles me. He pins me to the ground and starts putting these arm holds on me. From the instant he landed on me my back was in extreme pain. I yelled, cussed, screamed, begged and pleaded for him to get off of me but he would not. The only thing that finally worked was me going completley limp. From that point on he wanted to be my best friend and was so sickening nice to me. He was 6'6" 348 pounds and played sports in high school. He is 50 years old and I am 29. I was shocked because nobody cared they didn't want to look at my back no matter how much I complaiined. I want to know if I can do anything to get him in trouble. Prison time for assault would be awesome but I know that is not likely. I have been taking some serious pain killers and it has been over a week and my back still hurts. What should I do?

Your story just doesn't gel. You are saying that this security guard just came up and tackled you. Oh, what a law suit the hospital would have on their hands. They would have put you in the hospital and ran every test in the world on you. And all you came away with is a bottle of pain medication. Get Real. If you are still in pain yous should be able to go back to the hopsital and get anything you want. Why, you are on here? I don't know.

There's probably more to the story that what you are saying. He probably did the right thing. Not much you can do about it. Maybe theres cameras.

You can sew for pain and sufforing. If he was a friend or relative don't do it because that would make a ****** *** prick

Well,I seriously find that a hospital security guard came out of nowhere and tackled you to the floor for no apparent reason...very hard to believe. And,seeing how you have waited over a week to do anything...again is very hard to believe. You should have immediately either...asked to be admitted into that hospital for testing for your back and other possible internal injuries,or went so far as to go and be admitted into a different hospital for testing,x-rays ultrasound test for possible broken bones, internal injuries or any other injuries that security guard may have inflicted on you at the time of his supposed 'attack'.And,it seems that you have neglected to do neither. This would have made your case..at least some of it.Now,you have NO medical records unless you were to go now...a full week or so later after the supposed 'attack',and try to get some kind of medical records, and that would most likely be impossible seeing how your up and about. You should have taken action immediately! Now all you have is your last statement..."I've been taking serious pain killers,it's been over a week, and my back still hurts".Good luck with that. I personally think you have nothing to go on other than your own words...you have NO medical records other than what you've been getting your pain medicines from, and whatever you've been telling your doctor when you get those pain medicines. You have NO witness statements,no video proof,no nothing so it seems. So,again....good luck with that.I'm sure that security guard had some reason why he tackled you, seeing how he would have risked his job doing that for NO apparent reason.Makes no sense. Good luck either way.

The first thing you need to do is to see a doctor who puts in writing the condition you are in, as soon as possible, of course not at the hospital where the incident occurred. In court you'd have to prove that whatever condition you have was caused by the "attack". I suspect the hospital did not want to examine you to avoid creating records that could be used against them. In any case, most people, if they are in such great pain as you describe, would see a doctor. Why don't you? So, you need evidence, both medical and on the incident. Were there witnesses? There was probably a camera, but videos are not usually kept for long, so you need to act quickly (if it's not too late already). Of course you should only do this if you expect the camera to verify your story.
