Why does my head hurt more often?

Why does the back of my head hurt?

  • I don't know if its a headache or something else. Its at the back of my head, anytime I touch it with something or lay down it hurts. Its perfectly fine if I don't touch it, but when I touch the back of my head, it starts to hurt. I don't want to visit the doctor for no reason, and I also want to get a basic idea of what it is. Also -- its not red, there's no dry skin, either. But if it helps, I often roll around in my sleep and wear my hair up in a ponytail alot, also; my hair is a pain to comb, so my hairbrush often pulls my hair, could that have something to do with the pain in the back of my head? Thank you in advance.
