Muscle knot in my right arm what can I do to soothe it?

So like I woke up with this muscle knot innmy arm and when I touch it it feels like a bruise. It's not unbearable but my mum told me if I massage it in the tight area it will soothe. Has any1 got any other suggestions/advice? It's in my right arm on the part between the wrist and elbow. Thanx ):

That's happened to my neighbor before too. You should take some ibuprofen or something to help relax the muscle and ask someone to massage it for you.
