What can I do about my tense neck?

I can't tell what it is i'm feeling in my neck or why it would feel this way?

• So ever since Friday evening up until today it's been on and off. In my neck on the lower left side kind of by your chest, and collar bone on the inside, i feel like this small pain like their is a bulge or something... kind of like when u get all choked up inside before you start to cry. Lately I've been dancing, I just got done with my recital, and now i can't tell if it's from that, or if I'd feel it from a cold im going to get... or what it might be? Im kinda worried so please help me out. Again its not hurting pain, its just crampy, weird feeling pain like one of my muscles in my neck has fallen asleep? My mom and sister said id pulled a muscle in my neck, but it really doesnt feel like that. Thanks.
