How to treat tendonitis?
-
I went to the walk-in centre today with swelling and pain on the top of my hand (the pain I had been getting on and off for a few months) and she told me it was tendonitis. I'm just wondering if I will benefit from strapping it up etc. like putting a bandage or some kind of wrist support on it, as it goes up just a little past my wrist? I have been using ibuprofen gel.

Answer:
i have tendonitus in my knee i went to the docters and i am supposed to wear a brace when i do any kind of activity so i would suggest wearing some kind of wrist support when using your wrist or if it hurt. there really is no cure for tendonitus but using a support system and icing or heating it when it hurts or after you use your wrist should help the pain. that is what i was told about my knee. hope this helped a little!
