Why do my arms hurt when it's cold?

Why do my upper arms hurt with even the slightest poke or squeeze?

  • My upper arms are very sensitive. They are very thick as well...not necessarily muscle. I've always had thick arms... something that runs in my moms family...you know the fatty upper arms. But they hurt really easily, if someone gives me a light punch in the arm (just by being funny) I feel like I'm in agony... same with little pokes or if I accidentally run my arms into something. They feel like they have very thick tissues in them...I feel a thick patch of tissue on the upper part that faces outward. What I want to know is... why do they hurt so easily and so thick...compared to the rest of me. When I was younger... going to the dr... that's where they gave me my shots... in the upper arms. Just lastnight I had a dr's visit and when they tried to take my blood pressure... it took them at least 8 tries (3 different people) to try and get a reading. They said it was very faint. I found this morning that all the pressure left a nasty bruise on my one arm.. it really hurt to have them try and take it each time... all that squeezing... I almost wanted to cry... it hurt so much

  • Answer:

The best thing I can think of is to go to the same doctors who you were at who checked your blood pressure and show them what has happened and explain this to them. Also I would try do some daily arm exercises. Light exercises, such as, simply streching your arms and rotating them around for a few minutes everyday. Hope this helps. Take Care
