What is tennis elbow and what can help the pain?

I Have Elbow Tendinitis and Need Help......?

• I play baseball....alot of baseball. I play for my Highschool so we have practice Mon-Sat and I play on a travel team in which we play close to 50 games during the course of the summer. I play shorstop for my highschool and catcher for my travel team. About 6 years ago when I was pitching, I obtained a form of teninitis in my elbow and I still have it. It is on the inside part of my elbow so I know it is "Tennis Elbow". I always have soreness and discomfort in my elbow. Sometimes if I throw the ball hard enough, I get a tingle sensations. When playing shortstop, I wear and elbow slevee which does give me extra support. I ice my arm down after every practice, game, etc. Any suggestions as to how I can relieve pain? Any medication to clear my elbow problem? Will I grow out of it? Please help by providing any tips or suggestions. I have reached the breaking point with this problem because it is so annoying.   This sounds like Tennis Elbow, which is an inflammation around the elbow where tendons connect the muscles of the forearm to the bone. Icing is good, and you might try Aleve or Ibuprofin to ease the pain and reduce swelling. You might want to get this checked out by a dr, who may want to do further tests, and maybe recommend therapy. Your still young enough, i dont think you will have any problem getting over this.
