Why do my arms hurt when it's cold?

Why do my mother's arms hurt so much? What's wrong with her?

  • My mom has been having a lot of pain in both her arms for quiet a few days now. Her arms are somewhat swollen too. She says the pain is like when you get hurt but she hasn't gotten hurt, it's something else. Her legs were also hurting like that and other parts of her body, but mostly her arms. We have no clue what's going on, it's weird. My mom is kind of scared. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is it something to worry about? Could it be serious? What should I do? Help me please!!! Thank you in advance.

honey this sounds like something a doctor should definitely look into, not to scare but trouble with the upper body like that could be connected with the heart or arteries. it also could be something not life threatening such as fibromyalgia. i just don't think she should wait it out, cause there is too much to lose if it is serious...right? an er will see her regardless of insurance, often times providing a charity or adjustment according to income or lack of after the fact, but money is not important when it comes to the life of someone you love. if her arms feel heavy, difficult to lift, please try to get her to get checked soon? she may be getting warned of something about to happen, and the doctors can help her...

Pains in so many different parts of her body that seem to be coming from nowhere sounds like fibromyalgia starting up on her. How much exercise does she get in a day? How much water does she take in? How much sugar is in her diet? Too much sugar and not enough water are two ways to help fibromyalgia take root. Then not enough exercise is going to be the next part. The body isn't getting rid of the waste materials and it is building up and that will cause those pains. Remember, she didn't get this way over night and it won't go away overnight, but in a few weeks of exercise, drinking water and cutting out the sugars she should be on her way to recovery.

Go to see a doctor straight away. It sounds like a blood circulation problem, so call a Doctor now.

Diabetes can cause these kind of problems. get checked. Avoid sugar and high amounts of carbohydrates.
