How old can you be to retake the ACT test?

Should I retake the ACT and Writing Test?

  • 29 is the highest i got out of the 3 times that i've taken it, and the one time i took the writing i got a 6 out of 12. I am applying to Brown university on regular decision.and Vanderbilt with early Desicision..I have a very heavy senior schedule and 4.2 weighted GPA. I am in many clubs and volunteer.. I honestly believe that if i take it again i will get above a 30...so....Should I retake the test or are my credentials good enough to get into brown?

  • Answer:

If you have the time to do the tests again and believe that you can score higher then why not? It doesn't hurt to try again because you want to look your best when applying for universities. Especially Brown. Having many clubs and ample volunteer time is going to help you out a lot but you can always have a higher score on the ACT ;) It is like ram on a computer. More is generally better.....
