Do I have to take AP world?

Should I take AP World?

• Im trying to decide weather to take the class or not before the spots get filled up. But, I'm a freshman now and going to be a sophmore next year. I've been thinking about AP classes for a long time. and as a sophmore the only AP classes are either world or euro in my school. I don't have a busy schedule, i have ALOT of free time on me. The only thing that worries me, is passing the test or not. I've heard its really hard and not many pass the test for the college credit, and AP classes are risky for your GPA. (I've heard many students do not pass the test.) I do not plan to be a historian or go into international stuff. I'm really just wanting to take the class to save money in high school. Although it would be a waste of 100 dollars to take the test and fail it. And i don't plan to go to an ivy league college. Just a regular good college in my state. I'm also seeking a business career in the future. Should I take AP World or not? Was it hard? Any other AP classes you think I should take when i'm a junior/senior to pursue my business career?

  AP World was my first AP class, and the class was definitely hard, but well worth it. I passed the test with a 3, so I didn't do so hot, but it still counts. I know that colleges love it when they see you challenge yourself, and it would help with getting in to schools and stuff. Plus, AP is a great way t prepare for college. This way, you won't be so overwhelmed when you enter college and take a rigorous schedule for the first time. Well, I hope this helps! :))
