What are the differences between the ACT and SAT?

Diffences between ACT and SAT?

  • Whats the differences bewteen these 2 tests? More colleges accept sat than act?

  • Answer:

Most colleges accept ACT scores and SAT scores. The ACT has four sections: Reading Writing Math Science The SAT has three sections: Critical Reading Math Writing Each ACT section is graded on a scale of 1-36, and a composite score is assigned overall from 1-36. The SAT sections are graded on a scale of 200-800, and added to form an overall score from 600-2400. The formatting on the two tests is different. Some people consider the SAT questions to be "sneakier" or "deceptive" but I do not think that is case. Personally, I prefer the SAT, since it doesn't have the science section. The ACT science section is a tedious waste of time; it mostly involves reading numbers from graphs and interpreting other forms of data. It's really easy, but really boring.
