Do I need to go to law school to take the bar exam?
-
if I pass the bar exam, will I be an attorney/lawyer?
-
Answer:
Eligibility to take the bar is determined by the state. Only seven states allow you to take the bar without a complete JD; however, they all require some amount of time in an ABA-accredited college. In addition, almost all jurisdictions require that the applicant present an acceptable score on the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE), which is separately administered three times each year.
