Is it worth taking AP Classes senior year?

Should I even bother taking AP classes senior year?

  • I hear colleges only see JUNIOR year grades and acheivements...what should I do? Take or no take.?

  • Answer:

Yes, your junior year is the most important and shows off your academic achievements the most, but it is not the only year that counts. Almost all colleges require a mid-year report during your senior year and the Common Application asks you to list your senior year course load. Colleges want to see that you are continuing to challenge yourself and be involved in the learning process. If you simply don't want to take AP classes your senior year because you think you don't have to, that's a bad idea. However, if taking AP classes senior year will seriously hurt your GPA, then may consider taking the next most advanced level of classes offered at your school. Just remember to challenge yourself as much as you can.

This is not true at all. Colleges look at the report card from the time of application, and then the report card for the end of senior year (to make sure people aren't slacking off) Plus, AP credits save literally thousands of dollars in school fees. I highly recommend taking as many AP courses as you can handle.
