Does any one know of special grants for enrolled teacher candidates in California?

Which content teachers should administer which state tests?

  • This is for all of you teachers and principals out there, or maybe even some doctoral candidates. I'm wondering if you have any comment on or know of any research regarding whether or not in middle schools there is any impact from which teacher administers the CST (the state test in California), e.g., the math teacher should administer the math portion of the test, the ELA teacher should administer the ELA portion of the test, etc. or one teacher administers all the tests. I think that each content teacher should administer the test for that content, but our school is planning on having homeroom teachers administer all tests. What's your school doing? Do you know of research that has any bearing on this question? Any input would be appreciated. Thank you!

  • Answer:

Sorry i can't help much because i'm a preschool teacher but, i will say this. When i was in middle school they gave the 7th graders 2days to do there test or w/e it was either they did it in the morning or in the afternoon. I just think it's diffrent for areas.
