How difficult is the AP Spanish Language exam?

5 on AP Spanish Language Exam 2012?

  • Last year, I took a placement test and said I would be placed in AP Spanish if I signed up. Unfortunately, there wasn't any room for me to take the class this year or next year. However, I still want to take the AP Spanish language exam. I have never taken a Spanish course, I am a native speaker and immersed in the language daily. How do I prepare for next year's 2012 exam(i.e. books, videos, prep books, ect.) Thank You

  • Answer:

The main thing you need to focus on is the testing format, as well as your English skills. Judging by your question, you seem like you grew up in the US (simply put, your English is native level...), so at this point I would go buy the Princeton Review AP Spanish workbook, and just do a little bit every day. You want to make sure you know what questions will be asked. Though the passages will be different, the questions should all be of a certain format, and if you're familiar with the formats before you take the test, it should be a breeze since you're a native speaker.
