How do you study/ work hard?

A level students who get A's how hard do you work? And how do you study?

  • it's my last year but no matter how much I do i dont feel it's enough. If I get a better understanding of how to I can use my time more efficently.. Thanks

  • Answer:

Keep reviewing what you have learned throughout the year; doing this helps you remember and aids your revision. Give yourself at least a month before the exam to start preparing, and don't leave it till last minute; you just have to think, even if you really can't be bothered it will be so worth it when you get your A; think how that will compare to watching your favourite TV programme instead of revising. Use effective revision techniques, try things that appeal to you and help you remember. For example, I like doing revision cards and using mnemomics. Just make up silly rhymes in your head which you will always remember (e.g. in chemistry to remember cations are positive ions I think that 'cats are always positive' and picture a smiling cat... lol... whatever works for you :) Also past papers are brilliant, use them to your advantage; looking through the mark schemes really helps you understand how the examiners mark and how to answer the question precisely without rambling on. Just dedicate your tie to studying; don't give yourself the channce to slip out of the 'I CAN DO THIS' frame of mind. Of course, have breaks but stay positive and try and enjoy what you are doing! Good luck!
