AP 2d Design vs. AP Photography?

• What's the difference between AP 2d Design & AP Photo if I'm just going to do photography for concentration? I'd like to have an indepth response, please. I am thinking about whether or not to do AP 2d Design because I have some skills in Photoshop already but I want to do photos for concentration.. or if I should just stick to AP Photography.

I'm in Pre-AP now and still thinking of what to do for my concentration (trust me this is probably the hardest part!)
