Which sat scores should I send to colleges?

When should I send in SAT/ACT scores to colleges?

  • My mom said to send them in just to "get me in the system" right now. (I'm applying this fall for the 2010-2011 school year) but it costs $10 to send to each college I want. Dont I have to send them in anyways when I apply? should I just wait or send them in now?

    are you done taking them? if so, send them now. they'll have your scores by the time you apply and you won't need to send them again

You send them in the same time you send in your application to be safe. You can send them early and use the "free" ones you get when you first register for the test and the colleges receive them, but they won't look at it until you send them an application to match. I'd make sure you're done taking the tests and then mail them the same day you submit the applications. Hope this helps.
