How long should i study for the SAT everyday?

If i study every day for a year how much would my sat score go up?

  • I am a sophomore and I took the psat this year. My school converts our psat scores to get our predicted SAT scores. My predicted SAT score was 1340. It was the first time I've ever seen the test. I know its pretty bad but I still have about a year and a month till I actually take the SAT. I bought Barron's SAT prep book 25th edition to study. How much do you think I can raise my SAT score if I study every single day till I take the test? Oh and next year I plan to take a 6 week course to study for the SAT next year. Oh and does anyone have any tips or suggestions for any other SAT books to buy? Please and thank you.

  • Answer:

There is no set amount of how much you can raise your score; it depends on you, how much you study, and how well you study. I would suggest buying the Official SAT Study Guide from College Board-- they write the test, so that thick blue book are basically real SAT questions. What I did to study was-- I went on quizlet.com and studied the SAT vocab when I was on the computer, I bought SAT flash cards and studied them while I had some free time, I worked through as many practice problems as I could, and I practiced writing lots of essays Most importantly though, to raise your score, is to KNOW what you got wrong. And to make sure you're not making stupid mistakes (like misreading a question)
