How to pass your driving test?

How to pass the Behing the wheel driving test?

  • Hi, I recently got my driving permit. Im 19...and because of financial reasons....Im getting my liscence late. Now that I have my own money, I can afford the school and tests and all of that. anyways....i need to pass the Driving test at the dmv before jr college in 4 months. any tips? my mom is a single parent and works like 13 hours a day and doesnt have time and wont teach me. i dont have a dad or any relatives that can teach me ...they all live out of state. no one seems to have time to teach me and i dont really have any friends to help....on the local driving schools its says the fee is like 120 dollars per 2 hour driving sessions..this seems like a rip off. i need something cheap because i have to pay for college all by myself so i need all my money. how many of these sessions will i need. when my mom was laid off a few months ago she took me driving for a bout an hour at a time at least 3 times....and the same about a year ago...so i dont really feel scared anymore but i dont know how much time i need. please help! im worried..i need my liscense before college!

You really need to find someone who is willing to drive with you. You're going to need probably at least 40-50 hours behind the wheel before you want to try a driving test. I would say that's a minimum. Offer to do something in return for a friend if he or she will teach you to drive. For example, you can offer to do laundry, dishes and other household chores for that person for an equal number of hours. Ask a friend to go to dinner, the movies, or the mall with you and ask if she minds if you do the driving. Here's a little hint: Schedule your driving test for the morning. If you schedule it later in the day, the instructor is more likely to be tired and irritable from the events of the day. Get him while he's fresh and in a good mood!

I would highly suggest having a friend who recently took the driving test sit with you in the car and run you through all of the procedures and even drill you.

Well, I took mine the other day. Here in MS, you can get your license at 15 years old. Crazy! But what I did was just drive in a neighborhood about two miles and did turns and signals. Make sure you stop completely at stop signs and don't "roll" through them like I do. Also, make sure you're looking around. Rear view, mirrors, behind and in front. Look EVERYWHERE. Also, notice the frequent signs that show up. Like speed limits signs and construction signs and signs of pedristians and children playing. And the #1 rule: Always be a DEFFENSIVE driver. Never trust what the other person is doing.
