Can aqa exam results be transferred to the edexcel board?

  • hi just wondered if anyone could help me out, I am in my last year studying my GCSE's in school, i was studying with the aqa exam board, but has now moved schools, my new school is using edexcel, does anyone know if my grades from aqa can be transferred to edexcel? I rang up the edexcel board, but they said i needed a school on my behalf to ring, and said its a possibility that my results may be transferred but he's not sure. If anyone could help that would be great! Thankyou :)

Sorry, but I'd say the answer is almost certainly no. You can do it at A level, but only if you have completed an AS and have to switch schools and boards for A2 (and even then you can only do it for certain subjects and boards- there's a long list at the link). You can't do it for part of a qualification and this will hold true for GCSE as well as AS. You don't say which subjects are involved. There isn't a big difference in the syllabus between the boards for some subjects - e.g. Maths, Sciences so there's not much new to learn, you just have to enter for different exams.
