Do you have any tips for the SAT Reading Comprehension?

I need tips on the SAT's and what I should do next?

• Hello, I just finished my junior year in High School. Before I start I would like to say that I've been in USA for 4 years now; came here without knowing the language at all. So far I've took the SAT's twice(One in May and the other in June) because of my English I had to study extra hard, I studied for 3 months straight before I took the May test. Memorized 500+ Sat Vocab, I just worked SO HARD. Anyways I took the test on May and I scored 1600 in total. 490 on the reading 560 on the math and 550 on the writing with a 9 on the essay. I took it again in June and scored a total of 1570. 470 on reading 560 on math and 540 on the writing with 10 on my essay.(I did not take it as seriously as the first time :/) Now I'm deciding I'm going to take the KAPLAN SAT PREP during the summer and take the test again on October first of my senior year. My problem is the reading section, NOT the vocabulary just the passage reading. I need to increase my comprehension and I think that's because I was not born here. Do you have any tips for me? Do you think KAPLAN SAT PREP will help me? I really need to increase my scores by AT LEAST 200 points. I really worked so hard and I'm willing to work harder. Do you think I have a chance of getting to at least 1800? My GPA is 4.0 even if I do not reach 1800, do I ave a chance of going to a decent college? PLEASE I COULD USE ALL THE ADVICE I COULD GET.   They have classes that could help you learn what to look for in the reading and how to do better. You aren't really supposed to sit there and read all the passages thoroughly, you need to skim it, and read the questions before hand to know what you are looking for. Go online and look for a class in your area or get a tutor to help you.
