Should I take the PSAT as a sophomore?

Does the PSAT you take sophomore year count?

  • I am a sophomore this year and my school requires me to take the PSAT. I have to take it tomorrow and i really don't feel like studying this stupid little packet. If i do really bad on this test does it affect me in any way?

  • Answer:

no it does not, even if u get a perfect score you have to take it next year, and that's when you apply for the scholarship!

Im not sure. I just turned 13 and im in 8th grade. Im taking my sat prep course for the second time. This is the second time im taking the PSAT and last year I scored higher than most seniors and was a John Hopkins scholar. I am taking It again tomorrow and I would say it counts unless you take it again next year

Kristina

Not really. It's like a pre pre PSAT. It does not count too negatively against you, but colleges do look at it, it will not kill you if you get a bad score though.

Bill

Nope, I would try to do my best during the test tho because then you have an idea on what you need to improve on for the sat
