How should I study for my SHSAT?

IM TAKING THE SHSAT TEST LIKE TOMAROW! AND I HAVENT STUDIED MUCH; WHAT IS ON THE TEST?WHAT THINGS DO I STUDY?

HOW HARD IS IT ON A SCALE OF 1-10? What other highschools may be good besides the specialized ones? PLEASEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELPP ME OUTTT ;

    (Sighs) It's that time of the year again, where everyone is totally freaking out about who's applying to what school and what's on the Hunter College High School Exam and how long it is, etc. 1) RELAX. RELAX. RELAX. You WILL NOT be able to perform at full capacity if you STRESS out about the Exam. I know it's difficult to try and calm yourself down, but please, just do it. 2) Proportions, Area, Perimeter, and other basic mathematics will be present on the exam, along with Integrated Algebra. Note: Formulas will NOT BE PROVIDED, so know your geometry formulas and where to apply them. 3) Someone above posted very helpful information about what exactly will be on the test. That's what is going to be on the exam tomorrow. 4) Other good high schools include Benjamin Cardozo, Regis (if you're a boy), etc. 5) On a scale of 1-10, it depends. Some people say it is 10/10, others 7/10, and some say 5/10. Depends on where your strengths and weaknesses lie. Good luck on the exam.

There are many good schools in NYC that are not specialized schools. It would help if your grades in 7th grade were above 85, if you got at least a 3 on your 7th grade ELA and your 7th grade state math test, and had fewer than 10 days either sick OR late. I would recommend that you go to a website called insideschools.org to read about applying to high school. You are late getting started with this, you should do this immediately!

OMG listen to me and only me!!! lol as long as you reviewed the sample tests, itll be very very fair, as in easy! BUt i took it tdoay and i got like 20% wrong, i know for sure, cuz i didnt have enough time to finish. but the test is in THE EXACT layout as the sample booklets given before the summer. not alot of formula questions are on, it; the paragraphs are easier than in the sample booklet, know a couple of formulas for area and volume and basic perimeter, the verbal part was easy, according to a lt of people DO NOT PANIC! trust me, it WILL affect your score if you panic or get nervous, i know from my experience. It almost exactly the same questions from the sample booklet so just quickly review those, and seriously, TIME is the only thing that bombed me, so don't focus on time, just breathe

40 Multiple Choice Questions * Various mathematical topics tested * Basic math * Pre-Algebra * Algebra Factoring Substitution * Geometry (9th grade) Basic Coordinate Graphing (8th grade) Basic Trigonometry (sin, cos, tan) [9th grade] * Logic * Word Problems (cover all topics) Verbal 45 Multiple Choice Questions * 30 Reading Comprehension (5 Reading passages with 6 questions each) * 10 Logical Reasoning questions * 5 Scrambled Paragraph (worth 2 points each) Study as much as you can of that in a night. i took the test today.. study formulas for math! i got test D and i thought the test was hard at the end of math cuz i had to guesss for soo mch and math isnt my weakess subject usually readin is.
