Since when did people put up lights for Christmas and why?

When do most people put up their Christmas lights?

  • i was wondering because im making a christmas video to put on youtube. i love videography stuff. i put music with my videos. this one will have rockin around the christmas tree for the song and it will show people being christmasy, and christmas decorations. lol it will be better than it sounds! part of the video will be peoples christmas lights and there arent very many that have their lights up yet. when do most put them up? got any ideas for this video?

    Usually, people wait until the first or second week of December. My Dad is actually putting them up right this very moment. I think by the end of this weekend there will be a lot more lights up.

IF they do do it, they generally do it when they put up the tree and decorate the house and put up the tree. Now you have to keep in mind that not everybody does it like me I don't and since this IS a FREE COUNTRY then don't be bummed if we burst your bubble.
