What would be the best criminal justice career to go into?

billy is right. forensic science? try a bachelors to get your foot in the door, a master's to actually get a job. otherwise, mall cop, or law enforcement in mississippi. locally we require a four year degree to direct traffic.

Correction officer. Don't know about where you live, but in NY (where I live) you can get a job as a correction officer with just a high school diploma or a two year degree. Contact you dept. of civil service or check on the website of the state you are in regarding job opportunities/ testing.

Actually most of what you and others call forensic scientists are lab techs. You do not need a bachelors or higher, you need lab experience. If hired they train you in specific test that you do. 60 semester hours, two years of college, is what most departments want or require for you to apply to be a cop. Most want a GPA of 2.5 or higher. If you had the ability to think critically you would realize that there are far fewer "forensic scientists" (even on TV) than there are cops. Logic, which is apparently not used in this situation, tells you that with the same qualification and requirement it would be easier to become a cop. Critical thinking and logic skills are necessary if you want to be a scientist of any sort or a cop.
